OSU Campus
Whether you're graduating from OSU or are a senior in High school, the campus is gorgeous and has tons of variety for photo opportunities. Some of the most popular spots for pictures are the fountain, the lawn, and in front of the library, which are shown above. If you want more specific locations see my blog post about "OSU locations for seniors" at the bottom of the page!
Lake McMurtry
A town fav, boating, fishing, tanning, and trailing, Lake McMurtry has it all. Its prime time is absolutely gorgeous if you catch the sunset/sunrise. Brave the water and capture some of the most unique senior pictures or stay on land and get the ripples of water glistening in your background they will always look stunning! The water always looks so smooth, with all animals that live there maybe you'll be able to catch flocks of birds flying over you!
Botanical Gardens
My absolute favorite time to go take senior pictures at the botanical gardens is during the summer/springtime, but if that's too hot for you other plants grow beautifully in the fall/winter! Taking your pictures during the vibrant blooms will make you pop n your pictures! There's also a wide variety of spots you can take your photos at here, everywhere provides great photo opportunity.
Stillwater Train Station
There's not one bad spot here at the train station, every nook and cranny is beautiful, you cannot go wrong with having this on your location shot list! Plus this is one of the oldest places in Stillwater that provides a lot of our town history. If you HAD to take pictures at the train station I would reccomend getting on the train tracks in front of the building!
Stillwater Highschool Field
If you're a high school senior I would not want to pass up taking some of your portraits at the stadium field. You're not only representing your school but capturing where you had some of the most fun memories for FNL with your friends, where you would play on the field and cheer on your teammates, Cheer on the sidelines, and wear themed outfits! This is the place where you spend most of your time every day, This is my overall favorite for high school seniors at their home field.
BONUS LOCATIONS!
Field at Lake McMurty
This field is located right before the check-in booth on the west side of the lake, it's very open with short and long grass to take pictures at! I would come to this location towards the end of the day because the sun sets behind the tall grass and there's no shade to stand under. This spot is spot is just pure nature so make sure to leave it better than you found it! There's also a new trail that just got put in with concrete so there is also photo opportunities there as well!
Downtown Stilly
This is a slept on location!! If you want your photos in Stillwater but not super popular spots this is one of the areas for you! We could even stop by Blue Spruce and grab gelato for something sweet, or to Aspen and get a cup of coffee for the coffee lovers out there! This is the heart of Stillwater and has many businesses that are involved in the community to make Stilly a better place!
Alley Ways
This is another slept on location! This is another spot that not many seniors think about but you can make this your own space with any decor or leave it as a clean slate. The alleyways show neutral walls with you in front of them allowing you to stand out with almost any outfit! Most of the day the alleys are shaded so if you need to escape the sun but also don't want to be under a tree this is the perfect spot for you!
Parking Garages
This is a semi popular spot to hang out and take pictures with friends BUT not very many seniors think to take their portraits here. But I think that this location will always be a more timeless option with it mostly being a concrete background and you have BPS in the background! The best time to take pictures here would be during any breaks but most importantly summer break, just so that way you're not always fighting the crowds of cars parked everywhere with the college students. Or anytime after 5 PM, there are not many cars on the top floors!
